A cyclo overloaded with goods is a common scene in Huế and elsewhere in Việt Nam.

I know there are many ways to experience a city but for me, the best way to get to known my home and paradise Huế should be WALKING. Walking gives you time to see the local life more closely and intimately. I’ve walked my city for so many times and it hardly bores me. Walking this city to me is like someone learning to love her husband over again and again after being married each other for so long. It is also self-discovering; and making connection to the familiar strangers whom I met every day but never had a chance to talk to. So, travelers and global trotters, if you happen to be in Huế, make sure you spend a few hours to walk this city so that it could get closer to your heart.

Above and below are some photos I took while I was walking around my home and paradise.

I walked into these two happy souls, Thái & Nguyên, in Dã Viên Park one day and we have become friends since then.

School girls having breakfast before class on the pavement reminds me of my own school days when I wore white áo dài to school.
